House completion rates have varied over the lifetime of the project since 2008 but through the partnerships direct work and by generating and encouraging and supporting self-build efforts on the part of others over 200 houses have been constructed by Abesu Co-operative members and neighbours, which now provide secure and healthy homes for well over 1,800 women and children.
The Project has build a Health Clinic (with women’s ward), nurses house, IT leaning Centre, shop and offices at its compound in Shiyala.
Commercial enterprises run by the Partnership, including a transport business, enlarged provisions and hardware shop, and proposed Lodge (hotel) are now directed towards securing Project financial self sustainability by March 2020.
