Zimbabwe Newport Volunteering Association

Our Goal is: To promote integration of refugees, asylum seekers and Roma communities using sports and arts in Newport. To promote community regeneration of Newport Wales and Mufakose, Zimbabwe using sports and arts as a vehicle for change and empowerment.

To combat isolation and promote community cohesion. To deliver sports and arts events in Newport Wales and Mufakose Zimbabwe. To participate in community links and exchange visits between Newport Wales and Mufakose Zimbabwe while challenging and sharing global experiences.

Newport BME NEETs project: This project will initially focus on the delivery of specific training to BME young people to tailor their needs and aspirations.

Newport Multicultural Multi Sports project: This project offers free inclusive sporting opportunities to disadvantaged communities of Newport, targeting refuges, asylum seekers, Roma communities and other migrant groups.

Newport Wales - Mufakose Zimbabwe Link: This is our international project involving exchange visits between Wales and Zimbabwe, community regeneration of both communities, challenging and educating each other on global issues.
