SUPPORTING SURVIVORS OF CYCLONE IDAI AND KENNETH

In the evening of March 14th, Cyclone Idai hit Biera, Mozambique, a coastal city of half a million people. The fierce storm pummelled Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe with strong winds and rains, taking away 843 souls and hundreds of people still missing. It destroyed more than $1 billion of infrastructure, damaging and destroying more than 100,000 homes, along with at least 1 million acres of crops.

It has left hundreds of thousands of people homeless and displaced. The damage is extensive and support through prayer and donation will go a long way to help those affected. Therefore, join us in raising funds to Support survivors of Cyclone Idai and Kenneth in Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe.

OUR STORY

Cyclone Idai has shown how vulnerable people are to these kinds of disasters, the images above attest to this. It has taken away lives, displaced hundreds and thousands of people, taken away peoples homes, their source of food, and forced children out of school.
By word of mouth and through consistent advertising on all our social media outlets, we had a good number of people show up at our fundraising evening. It was a calm evening filled with engaging conversations, food, music and a testimonial from one of our members who was in Zimbabwe when Cyclone Idai hit.
